If you want to stand out, an aerial angle is essential and works for just about any subject. But not all drone pilots are also professional photographers. If you want fabulous aerial imagery, you need a fabulous photographer/videographer!
I've been a fully qualified, professional drone pilot since 2015. My main drone shoots high-end stills and TV production-level video. Previously, I specialised in agri' and countryside themes because they're easily accessed and popular for the Stock genre. But, now I'm looking forward to covering all subjects - from homes and gardens, industrial/commercial sites, corporate HQ's, to schools, universities, stately homes, coastlines.. the list is almost endless.
Legal stuff: The drone space is highly regulated. Any pilot undertaking commercial work must be fully insured. Best practice would be they also hold a CAA-issued Operational Authorisation, as I do. This guarantees that you're engaging a pilot trained to fly safely, legally and under an umbrella of insurance - up to £5 million public liability in my case. Every project I undertake is thoroughly recced, researched and planned to be safe and fully within the law - which is very specific as to where and when drones can fly.
